Juarez is the CEO and founder of Juarezlowe Corporate Consultants. He is a father, husband, corporate trainer and tennis fan who attempts to play tennis.

Juarez Salih Lowe obtained his law degree with honours from the University of Bristol in 1995. Upon completion of the Certificate of Legal Practice in 1997, he worked with Messrs Lee Hishammuddin in Kuala Lumpur as a corporate litigator. He has negotiated for clients such as the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, Securities Commission, Nestle, Petronas, Boustead, Fima and RHB. In 2001, he moved to Cycle & Carriage Ltd in Singapore in the Corporate Affairs Department where he was lead negotiator with Proton. He was subsequently transferred to the Mitsubishi Sales Division to manage a sales team of 50 people. Changing the organizational culture allowed his team to exceed the commercial vehicle sales targets of SGD1 million within 6 months.

Aloysius Arlando is the Chief Executive Officer of SingEx Holdings, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore investment company, Temasek Holdings. SingEx Holdings comprises several entities focusing on the venue management and events development businesses. They include SingEx Venues Pte. Ltd., which manages the Singapore EXPO Convention and Exhibition Centre, the largest purpose-built MICE venue in Singapore; and SingEx Exhibitions Pte. Ltd., the event management arm which develops and manages exhibitions, conferences and other business events relating to key industries of the future economy.

Since taking over the helm in 2010, Aloysius has built up a portfolio of MICE-related ventures, both regionally and globally, as well as developed its suite of business event solutions and venue management services to new standards. Singapore EXPO was awarded Best International Venue 2015 by UK’s Exhibition News (EN). SingEx now provides venue management and consultancy services in Asian markets. Through her offices in Delhi, Guangzhou, Jakarta and Singapore, SingEx stages a portfolio of over 25 proprietary trade events in India, China, Indonesia, South Africa and Singapore.

Prior to SingEx, Aloysius spent 18 years in various leadership positions in Singapore’s public sector. While he was at the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Ministry of Trade & Industry, he advanced Singapore’s tourism, business travel and MICE industries. He was a key member of a multi-agency committee responsible for Singapore’s Integrated Resorts projects, where he oversaw the MICE development aspects. He also served in the Ministry of Manpower where he spearheaded lifelong learning and workforce development efforts.

In 2004, Aloysius received a Public Administration Award in recognition of his achievements. Aloysius capped off his stint in the public sector as the Assistant Chief Executive of Business Travel and MICE in STB, where under his watch, Singapore emerged as the Top International Meetings City and Asia’s Top Country and City for Meetings by the Union of International Associations for the first time. He was also concurrently serving as the Executive Director of the organising committee for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Singapore 2009 high-level meetings.

In line with his role at SingEx, Aloysius was nominated in 2014 as the Vice-Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Chapter of The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and Vice-President of the International Association of Convention Centres (AIPC) in 2015. Aloysius is now the President of AIPC, the first Asian to assume the association’s presidency.

Aloysius Arlando is the Chief Executive Officer of SingEx Holdings, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore investment company, Temasek Holdings. SingEx Holdings comprises several entities focusing on the venue management and events development businesses. They include SingEx Venues Pte. Ltd., which manages the Singapore EXPO Convention and Exhibition Centre, the largest purpose-built MICE venue in Singapore; and SingEx Exhibitions Pte. Ltd., the event management arm which develops and manages exhibitions, conferences and other business events relating to key industries of the future economy.

Since taking over the helm in 2010, Aloysius has built up a portfolio of MICE-related ventures, both regionally and globally, as well as developed its suite of business event solutions and venue management services to new standards. Singapore EXPO was awarded Best International Venue 2016 by UK’s Exhibition News (EN) and Best Business Event Venue 2018 by Singapore Tourism Board. SingEx now provides venue management and consultancy services in Asian markets. Through her head office in Singapore and subsidiaries in Delhi, Guangzhou, Jakarta and London, SingEx stages a portfolio of over 25 proprietary trade events in India, China, Indonesia, South Africa, UK, US and Singapore.

Prior to SingEx, Aloysius spent 18 years in various leadership positions in Singapore’s public sector. While he was at the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Ministry of Trade & Industry, he advanced Singapore’s tourism, business travel and MICE industries. He was a key member of a multi-agency committee responsible for Singapore’s Integrated Resorts projects, where he oversaw the MICE development aspects. He also served in the Ministry of Manpower where he spearheaded lifelong learning and workforce development efforts.

In 2004, Aloysius received a Public Administration Award in recognition of his achievements. Aloysius capped off his stint in the public sector as the Assistant Chief Executive of Business Travel and MICE in STB, where under his watch, Singapore emerged as the Top International Meetings City and Asia’s Top Country and City for Meetings by the Union of International Associations for the first time. He was also concurrently serving as the Executive Director of the organising committee for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Singapore 2009 high-level meetings.

In line with his role at SingEx, Aloysius was nominated in 2014 as the Vice-Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Chapter of The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and Vice-President of the International Association of Convention Centres (AIPC) in 2015. Aloysius is now the President-elect of SACEOS (Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers) and President of AIPC, the first Asian to assume the association’s presidency.

Alan Pryor was appointed General Manager of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) in April 2014 following three years as the Deputy General Manager.

Prior to joining the Centre in 2011, Pryor was Director of Operations at the Durban International Convention Centre (Durban ICC) where he worked from pre-opening in 1997 for 10½ years. During this time, he also oversaw the opening of the Arena extension. Shortly before moving to Malaysia, Pryor was lead consultant of the Architectural Department of the Municipality of Durban City on its Priority Zone development which included the Durban ICC and Arena, as well as consulting on several conference facility projects namely, Durban’s Olive Conference Centre and Ballito Conference and Convention Centre, and the Pietermaritzburg Royal Agricultural Showground Conference Centre.

A respected industry professional, Pryor’s introduction to the hospitality industry began in 1978 in London, England, with experience at numerous hotels. His involvement in the exhibition and conference sector came about working with the Kensington Exhibition Centre and the Connaught Rooms from 1986 to 1993.

He then moved to South Africa and was with Durban’s The Royal Hotel for four years before joining the Durban ICC pre-opening team.

Pryor has a Diploma in Hotel and Catering Operations from the Bournemouth College of Technology, Dorset, England, where he also completed the college’s two-year Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management Association (HCIMA) course.

Dr. Ong Kian Ming is Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI) for Malaysia. He is also the Member of Parliament for Bangi (since May 2018).

He was a former Fulbright Scholar and holds a PhD in Political Science from Duke University, an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics. Prior to his political life, he was formerly a lecturer at UCSI University, a researcher at the Socio-Economic Development and Research (SEDAR) Institute and the Institute of Strategic Analysis and Policy Studies (INSAP) and a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in the Kuala Lumpur office.

He was also an ASEAN Scholar in Singapore and completed his “O” and “A” levels in Raffles Institution and Raffles Junior College respectively. He attended primary and secondary school in La Salle Petaling Jaya, Selangor until Form 3.

He was also the Deputy Secretary General (Trade) of MITI from 2016 to 2018 and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SME Corporation Malaysia, an Agency under MITI from 2014 to 2016. In addition, Datuk Isham Ishak has spent 5 years in the United States as the Minister Counselor at the MITI Washington D.C. Office.

Prior to MyCEB, Dato’ Sri held the role as the Director General of Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC). Throughout his years in the tourism sector, Dato’ Sri has dedicated his career in Tourism Malaysia (the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board under the MOTAC) through various prominent positions. These designations include Assistant Director, Deputy Director, Director and Deputy Director General (Promotion) of Tourism Malaysia.

Earning his stripes, Dato’ Sri was deservingly posted overseas to undertake global markets. His various stints include Tourism Malaysia’s offices in Australia, Singapore, South Africa and Thailand.

In April 2019, Martin joined the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO) as the new CEO where he oversees the strategic management of the not-for-profit membership association whose members managed over 18,600 events in 2018 alone worth a total economic impact value of over 9.1 billion euros.

Martin has a wealth of experience and a strategic vision that has been shaped over decades of working across a number of countries in the events and meetings industry. After university and a successful run as a restauranteur, he launched an event management start-up in Canada in the late 1990’s. At the same time, he launched Edgepostcards.com, a digital marketing company whose purpose was to take event photography on-line and link event attendees to corporate and charity sponsors’ on-line presence (pre-Facebook and twitter). For the past 15 years, he has focused his attention and built his knowledge and experience of corporate, NGO and association conference business as part of an international convention centre team, then as a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) in the UK and 6 years as the Director of Europe for the partner and government-funded Convention Bureau of Sydney, Australia.

In June this year, Eileen Emily was involved in organizing a charity virtual event called the “Jom LOKA Virtual Festival”, as part of her degree coursework. This was her first-time organizing a virtual event and hosted “Fuiyoh Talk”- a talk on local entrepreneurship. Jom LOKA is proud to generate RM1,234 for donation to the charity of “Pertubuhan Untuk Anak Kita”.

Syamil Fahim currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Nu Ideaktiv Sdn. Bhd. A joint venture between Kumpulan Karangkraf and Astro Malaysia.

Graduated from University of Misouri-Kansas City in 1996, in the field of Computer Science specializing in Telecommunications, he joined the Karangkraf in August the same year as a management trainee.

Post management training, he was tasked with heading the Graphics Department Unit of Karangkraf. From there, his career in the publishing industry started. In subsequent years, he formed the IT department for the group and launched Karangkraf’s first web portal, www.karangkraf.com, in December 2000.

His experience includes heading the Print Division, Ultimate Print Sdn Bhd for more than 12 years before given the bigger task of heading the newly formed subsidiary, Grup Digital Karangkraf Sdn Bhd in 2010. Believing that Innovation and Technology is key to any organization’s success, he now transforms the Group to be more IT & technology driven.

In May 2018, the magazine publishing division of Karangkraf, Grup Majalah Karangkraf pursued a joint venture initiative with Astro Malaysia to create the largest Malay content creation company, Nu Ideaktiv Sdn. Bhd. Focus of this company is to create great Malay content on multiple platforms that spans from print, digital, social media, broadcast TV to ground events. With over 22 years of experience in the media industry, Syamil now helms the company as the Chief Executive Officer.

Her professional journey included working and special project assignments with the world-class brand Hilton, Tourism Malaysia based in Paris, MOTAC for expo project in Spain. Today her market coverage includes France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, and South East Asia.

She has built a strong reputation, contacts and networks in Europe and South East Asia. Successfully assisted Tourism Malaysia to increase French and Spanish visitor arrivals to Malaysia. With Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau as one of her clients, her task is to capture select South East Asia markets to promote the city of Paris, both leisure and MICE.

In the course of her work with clients that included hotels, convention bureaus and airline, she connects regularly with embassies, trade and travel agencies, airlines, professional meeting planners, chambers of commerces, corporates, MICE and leisure tourism professionals and medias.

Today, she continues to work and travel to business cities and hot spots in Europe and Asia. She is member of PATA France, Malaysia-France Chamber of Commerce & Industries (MFCCI) and an associate member of ASEANTA (Asean Tourism Association).
